Xplore Dive

We are a new dive club on the Sunshine Coast. We are very new and not very big. But we have a very specific goal. To create a community of competent divers.

The Caveat

We can’t afford to have divers in our club that are not completely independent for safety reasons.

We stress the point about competence, we do not have the resources to cater for divers that cannot operate individually. But primarily we believe that people will have more fun if they can dive with other good divers.

If you would like to join and have concerns about your ability, it might be worth going and seeing a dive centre first, we can recommend SCUBA World, they are friendly, safe and have a great knowledge of the Sunshine Coast dive sites.

Safe but Fun

All this talk of competence and safety doesn’t erode the point that we are mainly here for fun. Good divers hanging out doing what they love, sharing skills and stories for the betterment of all.

The plan for 2011

We are still trying to find out what people want, so we are planning events and see what sticks. The plan is to slowly build the clubs membership this year, and investigate sites around the Sunshine Coast as well and North and South of here through day trips and weekends away.

Our events coordinator Karen, is a madly passionate diver and is a constant source of inspiration for new spots to try. Check out our events list here.

The damage to your wallet?

$25 per year, yes we know it is insanely cheap… Go to the membership page, read the caveat at the top, then fill out the form

But each event we make a small amount of money on to help the club achieve its goals. You need to be a member to attend any event, free membership allows you to receive updates about what we doing, should you wish to join later
